2005 December 10 Dallas Debrief All I can say is, Awsome Shoot!! The playing started a little late due to the amount of shooters that arrived and continued to arrive as play commenced. Final count for the initial shoot numbered in the low 60's. The first game was a defense operation for the OPFOR. They were given the fort/Alamo to defend from our team. The commander of the team did use his assets well. He had them laid out well and tactically sound. There was very little chance of taking the encampment with his layout of personnel. I was one of the unfortunate ones who got shot out in the first few minutes. I felt stupid as I got shot out while having a paint check done by the Ref. I had a part of my girth sticking out a little too far and it got tagged just when I found out that the paint check was negative. At that point we, the "dead", gathered at the original start point and waited for the game to end. The second game was a "Capture the Flag" with a resurrection proviso. Same teams as the first game. After a choosing (scissors beats paper), I was tagged as Medic. We chose a strategy of a three prong assault with the runners leading the way. We were trying to get to the fort first, but the OPFOR beat us to it. After that, it was a pretty pitched battle for the hour duration. I was running to either side of the bar ditch trying to get people healed and back in play so they didn't have to go all the way back to the camp's Rez point. I was just trying to get out of the way of the incoming fire and keep the guys healed to stay in the game. I did get three kills in this game, so I was happy about that. After the paint dried and the dust settled, we were on the losing end of the stick. We were unable to obtain the flag and didn't get the Cupie Doll. Last game was a reversal, we defended. I lasted almost until the end, even though I ran out of air early into the game. I stayed there to try to help direct fire by sighting movement and being lookout. I and Spikes mate were put out by a burst of full auto from the OPFOR and made our way to the start point to await the end of the game. All in all, a great outing. I did, however, end up getting poison ivy…….AGAIN!! I was covered from head to toe, the only thing that wasn't covered was my neck and that is where I got it. Had a great time and hope to do it again soon. I have been in contact with Chicken Phuqer and am getting ready for the Deliverance 4 wars. Maybe we can get Ivan up to it, who knows. CF has also said that he wants to come down for a Saturday shoot as well. Maybe even bring some Arkie shooters with him….. Strength and Honor Rahg'
