Had a great time - lots of fun. The temperature was a bit cool at first, but not too bad once you got out of the wind and started play. Hardly any mud. Shot three in a row capture the flag where 1/3 of us took turns defending till all defended. 3:16, 4:08, and 4:30 were the times it took to take the flags for each game. Outstanding time, and some great shooting. 6 of us took each other on during the rehydration and regas break - 3 on 3 hunt. That was pretty good hunting too, even if Little Richard got shot out in the first minute of play. Preacher kept all three of us guessing as we chased him down the lake berm, then the last guy took me out before Steel shot him. We played an outstanding two team capture the flag after that. The opposing team was entrenched in the big sink, while we took the Alamo. Good maneuvering and some heated exchanges followed start of play. Preacher even got to toss a grenade - no effect, but he got to toss it. The last game I played before having to leave was a flag escort. Since we won the previous game we were tagged to escort the flag from the river to the bridge. We had two flags at that time, and Mad Ivan didn't tell us which one we had to use, so we split into two teams and ran both - one down either side of the ditch. Our opponents had some real sneaky bastards out there, well hidden and well entrenched. Hard going all the way. Preacher (again) ended up getting the flag to the bridge, belly crawling to within a dozen yards of the bridge and hauling ass the rest of the way. Had a blast - enjoyed shooting alongside Mustang and Steel and Preacher. Enjoyed shooting against everybody - looks like both sides played well and hard. Bill Burks Venus, Texas
